Little over a week ago I went and watched the Expendables 2. After that experience I loved the movie (and of course reviewed it!), but ultimately it made me realise what needs to happen with Scott Adkins – he needs more leading roles in order to give action fans all over the world what they crave: the best and most exciting fight scenes in the world! So I had a little whinge and tried to get people to speak up on this.
Well it’s been a week and people on Facebook spoke up!

The response was pretty explosive!
My image/post received just over 600 likes and 421 shares. But the people that shared it got even more success. Scott Adkins himself shared my articleon his page and got 949 likes, whilst the page for Yuri Boyka got 3850 likes! Smaller pages like ‘(boyka) Scott Adkins’ got 109 likes while the page ‘Yuri Boyka (Scott Adkins) got 693 likes. Out of the 400 or so shares just about every one of them had at least one like. Plus a few retweets on Twitter to add to the noise.
Do the Math – that’s over 6000 likes in a week.
But obviously, a few Facebook likes doesn’t set Scott up for more leading roles by itself – what will is the ability to make some noise that will be heard and get the guys with the power in the movie industry to throw a bone Scott’s way. So I see this as a simple first step.
As just a guy with a website and a Facebook page with under a couple thousand likes I can’t make it happen, but I can express what I think the people I communicate with (as well as myself) want. I can’t make people speak up and support his movies. So we’ve made a little noise, its up to fans to make some more.
But where to from here?
If you want more – say so!
The internet is a place where you can voice your opinion for people to hear and respond to – get onto forums, social media and if you want to see more, say so! Also, make sure you show some support (if you can) and buy a some of Scott Adkins movies – needless to say I don’t regret having bought nearly all of them! Without any promise of a profit, Scott won’t be thrown that bone.
So everyone who agrees and wants more, all it takes is a little support and to voice your opinion. Not to mention – the more people who see his movies the more demand will be created, so tell people you know to check them out. In time hopefully the noise will spread! Until then I’ll voice my opinion here for people to listen and share theirs.

It’s such a shame nothing ever really became of this, and now the nightmare with Undisputed IV. His career is on a slight upswing and I hope it stays that way. If just one director would grow a pair and take a chance on him they wouldn’t regret it. He would be an incredible Batman or James Bond. They already went the” safe” way with Batman, and look how well that turned out. My amazing, gorgeous Scott would rock any movie role given to him.
