Sometimes you’ve just gotta combine soft core porn with sword work and martial arts.

That’s what the creators of Sex & Fury said anyway. This film plays out exactly as expected, as we see a young woman slicing up guys in the name of revenge!

Our main hero is a woman named Ocho, who we’re introduced to as a child. At a young age she watched her father get brutally killed by a group of killers who had tattoos – one of a deer, the other of a boar and the last one a butterfly.

Now an adult, Ocho cruises Japan usually surrounding herself with sex crazed rapists and criminals who she eventually cuts down. After helping a man who ends up severely injured, Ocho promises to take his money and free his sister from a life of Prostitution in Tokyo.

Shortly after her arrival she does just that, but the girl is raped anyway. During her recollection of the rape she tells of a deer tattoo on the back of the man. Naturally Ocho puts two and two together and begins her quest for bloody revenge on those who killed her father!

Soft Core Porn meets Martial Arts?

Yeeep.

The rape and sex scenes are almost one after the other in this movie, with the bad guys usually throwing the women around getting their way in sick ways.

Even at the beginning of the film we Ocho in a slowmotion fight scene slicing up her enemies completely nude. It must have been the most artistic choice for the fight….

Yeah, art…. lol

But as a young guy I can’t say I didn’t enjoy the occasional flash of Japanese assets, after all it’s very tame and they show nothing below the waist. What makes it interesting is how the story actually seems to revolve around rape and killing from ‘within the bedroom’ – such as Ocho poisoning one man before sleeping with him.

Of course the scene toward the beginning of the film of the girls try to figure out what condoms are, blowing up like balloons, was a little funny and light hearted from a ‘Western’ perspective.

It’s pretty straight forward and I think Sex and Fury is just a film made to appeal to young guys who like blood and gore as well as T&A.

The Action & Martial Arts

Beyond the sex there is a lot of blood red paint and people getting cut open by Ocho’s sword.

The movement and energy of the fights is dated and doesn’t carry the fluidity of Hong Kong’s films…

…but they more than make up for it with the red paint!

A lot of the fight scenes just seem very artificial on and unrealistic, but it’s hard to get a realistic fight scene – people getting chopped in half and impaled without CGI or camera tricks isn’t going to happen.

I honestly don’t think the action did any favors, and the nudity wasn’t really a draw – I tihnk the combination is what made the movie popular.

Overall it’s a pretty standard movie, check it out if you want to watch a soft core porn / martial arts movie wtih a small amount of action.
